This year's Annual General Meeting of Darnall Forum, to be held on Tuesday 30 September in Darnall Community Post Office, will be told that Darnall Post Office is now officially a success.
'The auditors have given the post office a clean bill of health this year,' said Neil Bishop - Forum manager and officer in charge of the post office. 'Thanks to the hard work of our staff and the support and confidence of our trustees - who stood by the post office during its early days when things were not easy - the post office has now begun to repay its debts to the charity. We also had a makeover in 2013, and we would like to hear what the residents of Darnall think about the way the post office is run and the other work which Darnall Forum does in the community.'
Darnall Forum is the owner of Darnall Post Office and organises community learning, advice for jobseekers and support for local groups and residents who want to make a difference to our community.
Residents and people who work in Darnall are invited to come along and have their say about life in Darnall, the post office and the other work of the Forum, on Tuesday 30 September at. The meeting begins at 5pm.
